A Thankful Christmas: Day 4

3:54 AM

Five days in and I've already fell behind on my Christmas commitment.
Eh. I'd usually chastise myself a bit, but I was busy enjoying one of my favorite blessings and so, I guess I'm not really sorry.

This is what I'm thankful for, today and everyday:

These people. The people I've been hanging out with since high school. The people who don't let astronomical distances (Arizona, anyone?) get in the way of old bonds.

I learned that you can't recreate that. We all moved away---trickling in different directions as educations wrapped up and job hunting began. I met new people, made new friends, developed new routines......but, nothing compares. Nothing comes close. These are my people.

Reuniting seems like it'd be nostalgic. Hardly. It's like we've never separated.

Picking up where we just left off.
Thank you God for teaching me that friends are valuable. They're non-renewable resources and they're damn hard to find.
These are my people.

These are my people.
